Word of Life operates on a regional basis around the globe. Word of Life Philippines is geared towards students from the Indo-Pacific Rim region or those aiming to minister in this area of the world. We can’t wait to have you join our campus!
We want to make the application process as easy as possible for our international students so please use the following list to help you prepare to study with us. Make sure you have each of the following items for your admissions process to proceed smoothly.
International students should contact the admissions office to begin the application process. In addition to the forms below, you will need to send your admissions counselor two photos of yourself, a copy of your passport or ID, and a copy of your bank statement.
Students scoring at level HIGHER INTERMEDIATE will not be required to attend Word of Life Bible Institute Philippine’s English Training Course before first term. Students scoring at or below level INTERMEDIATE will attend the English Training Course prior to enrolling at WOLBI. More details about English training will be available from the Admissions Office.
*The Bible Institute Executive and Associate Deans reserve the right to distinguish between sufficient scores and may invite students to attend training based on appropriate factors.
Financial Support Declaration (This must be submitted with a bank statement)
Finances will be your responsibility when attending the Bible Institute. There are no scholarships offered to international students. The full cost of tuition, room and board, fees, and visa expenses is about $4800 for the 2021-2022 school year. This is subject to change each upcoming academic cycle. The first payment must be submitted prior to registration day. While many international students pay their year in full up front, a monthly billing payment option is available. There may be additional visa costs.
We understand finances are challenging. Let’s talk about scholarships and finances for a minute. We totally understand that financial concerns are a big deal, and there may be more opportunities for financial provision than you realize. One of our key aids for international students and finances is:
KNOW YOUR SPONSORS! Did you realize that by asking for and receiving from 75 contacts a one-time gift of $50 your school bill would be practically covered? Many students supplement their schooling costs with support from sponsors such as parents, family or church members, and other connections. It takes work, but these relationships are invaluable towards your future. Who do you know?
In addition to the standard admissions requirements, all international students must be able to read, write, and communicate, in English. Students who do not have English as their first language must take the KAPLAN English Test.
While all classes are in English, we do not operate as an English training program.
Word of Life Bible Institute is an intense academic and hands-on ministry program. We begin our school year in June and conclude in May with breaks throughout. Flights and arrival/departure times must be communicated with BI staff prior to purchase and be in compliance with student travel guidelines. We encourage our international students to arrive a few days prior to registration day.
Our goal is to ensure that every student has the most positive BI experience. With less adjustments to hurdle in one’s own home-region, we encourage international prospective students to first consider our global campuses where the same academic program is conducted with excellence in accordance to varying cultures.
