Rev. Philip F. Congdon serves as senior pastor of New Braunfels Bible Church. He has served as guest faculty at Word of Life Bible Institute for 22 years.
Rev. Congdon earned an Associate of Arts from Mt. Hood Community College, a Bachelor of Science in Bible Exposition from Multnomah Bible College, and a Master of Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary. At WOLBI, he teaches Bible exposition and theology.
Rev. Congdon has published numerous magazine and journal articles. He is the author of Church in the World: Paul’s First Letter to the Corinthians, published by Grace Theology Press in 2016. He also contributed the chapter “Parenting by Grace” to Living by Grace, published by Grace Theology Press.
Rev. Congdon and his wife, Jennifer “Jen” Congdon, have been married for 40 years and have eight children. He enjoys sports, reading, and watching old movies and television shows. His life verse is 1 Corinthians 15:58.
