David Andrew Dean serves as Professor of Systematic Theology and Bible Exposition at Yan Fook Theological Seminary in Hong Kong. He has served as guest faculty at Word of Life Bible Institute for 17 years, teaching the Old Testament, New Testament, and systematic theology.

David earned a Bachelor of Arts in Physics from Drew University in 1978 and a Master of Science in Physics from Cornell University in 1983. He later completed a Master of Theology in Bible Exposition in 1992 and a Doctor of Philosophy in Bible Exposition in 2008, both from Dallas Theological Seminary.

David has written several books, including Ready or Not: Finding Comfort and Courage in a Countdown World, published by OMF Literature; Science, Scripture, and Common Sense: A Thinker’s Guide to the Debate on Origins, published through Kindle Publications; Made in Heaven, Lived on Earth: Discovering and Recovering God’s Design for Marriage, published through Kindle Publications and also available in Chinese; and Practical Faith: The Call to Courageous Living in the Book of Hebrews, published through Kindle Publications. His other books include God’s Will, Your Way: How to Find and Follow God’s Will for Your Life, published by OMF Literature and also available in Chinese, and Can We Trust the Bible?, published by OMF Literature.

His journal articles include “Does 2 Thessalonians 2:1–3 Exclude the Pretribulational Rapture?” published in Bibliotheca Sacra in April–June 2011, and “Covenant, Conditionality, and Consequence: New Terminology and a Case Study in the Abrahamic Covenant,” published in the Journal of the Evangelical Theological Society in June 2014, Volume 57, Number 2. Since 2021, David has also offered courses on the Bible and theology through his YouTube channel, Reason and Revelation.

David and his wife, Mi Young, have been married for 41 years and have two children. His life verse is 2 Timothy 2:2.
