Dr. Michael Nicholes serves as a missionary and Regional Director of Local Church Ministries for the Word of Life Indo-Pacific Region. He has served with Word of Life for more than 30 years and at the Bible Institute for six years. At WOLBI, he teaches Leadership, Youth Ministry, Missiology, Theology, and Biblical Studies.
Dr. Nicholes earned a Bible certificate from Word of Life Bible Institute in New York and a Bachelor of Religious Education from Tennessee Temple University. He completed graduate studies through Asia Baptist Theological Seminary and Cornerstone University, earning a Master of Religious Education and a Master of Arts. He later earned a Doctor of Educational Ministry from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
His publications include Culture and History of Korea and Pastoral and Leadership Succession.
Dr. Nicholes and his wife, Alicia, have been married for 25 years and have four children. He enjoys basketball, table tennis, cycling, reading, and pickleball. His life verse is 2 Timothy 2:2.
