Dr. John D. Talley III is a retired pastor with 45 years of ministry experience. He continues to serve as an online instructor for Liberty University, where he has taught for 15 years. At Word of Life Bible Institute, he teaches Bible, Theology, Pastoral Ministry, and Pastoral Leadership.
Dr. Talley earned a Bachelor of Arts in Bible and Pastoral Theology from Southeastern Bible College and a Master of Divinity in Pastoral Theology from Grace Theological Seminary. He later completed a Doctor of Ministry at Dallas Theological Seminary, focusing on pastoral ministry, leadership, and administration.
Dr. Talley and his wife, Melody, celebrated 44 years of marriage in July 2026. They have two children. He enjoys fishing, playing golf, and reading. His life passage is Philippians 2:19–21.
