Dr. Charles Savelle serves as Assistant Professor of Bible Exposition at Dallas Theological Seminary. He has served as guest faculty at Word of Life Bible Institute for five years, teaching Biblical Studies.

Dr. Savelle earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies from The Criswell College. He later completed a Master of Theology and a Doctor of Philosophy at Dallas Theological Seminary.

Dr. Savelle is the author of Psalms, Volume 1: The Wisdom Psalms, published by Kregel in 2021. His journal articles include “A Reexamination of the Prohibitions in Acts 15,” published in Bibliotheca Sacra in 2004; “Canonical and Extracanonical Portraits of Balaam,” published in Bibliotheca Sacra in 2009; and “Infanticide in the Apostolic Decree of Acts 15 Revisited,” published in the Journal of the Evangelical Theological Society in 2019.

His other articles include “James’s Use of Amos 9:11–12 in Acts 15,” published in the Bulletin for Biblical Research in 2021, and “Acts 15:21: Moses Is Preached and Read in the Synagogues,” published in the Journal of the Evangelical Theological Society in 2022. He has also written other scholarly works.

Dr. Savelle and his wife, Kathy, have been married for 43 years and have three children. His personal interests include biblical archaeology and biblical numismatics. His life verse is Galatians 2:20.
